Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United are now trying to sign Sergio Reguilon from Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur after struggling to do a deal with Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea for Marc Cucurella.

The Daily Mail reports this afternoon that Manchester United have “revived talks” for Tottenham Hotspur left-back Sergio Reguilon.

Manchester United want to sign Sergio Reguilon from Tottenham Hotspur

United have been in talks with Chelsea over a loan deal for Marc Cucurella.

Chelsea want a £7 million loan fee for the former Brighton and Hove Albion left-back.

This has led United to trying to do a deal with Tottenham over Reguilon, according to the report.

The Times has claimed that the £28 million (talkSPORT) Spain international left-back is “expected to leave” Spurs before the summer transfer window closes on Friday.

The Manchester Evening News reported last week interest from United in the 26-year-old.

The Red Devils have been in talks with Chelsa over Cucurella recently, but it seems that the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners are back in for Reguilon now.

Reguilon has not been a huge success at Tottenham, and it does not seem that current head coach Ange Postecoglou has him in his plans for this season.

The 26-year-old is yet to appear in the Premier League for Spurs this season.

We believe that Tottenham should try to sell Reguilon to United or at least do a loan deal where the Red Devils would cover his wages in full and also pay a loan fee.

There is no point in Tottenham keeping the former Real Madrid left-back at the club if he is not going to get any playing time.
