Luton reportedly want to sign Holding on a loan deal until the end of the season.

And Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has reportedly “cleared” the central defender to leave the Gunners in the final week of the summer transfer window.

The London Evening Standard has claimed that there is interest in Holding from clubs in Spain as well.

The £40,000-a-week (Spotrac) defender is now “weighing up his options”, according to the report.

Fabrizio Romano has also reported that Arsenal want to offload Holding this week.

The Italian journalist has claimed on Twitter that Spanish clubs Real Mallorca and Sevilla want to sign the 27-year-old English central defender and have asked about a potential deal.

We believe that Holding should leave Arsenal this summer.

If Arteta does not want the defender in his squad for this season, then there is no point in the Englishman staying at the Emirates Stadium.

Holding is 27 now and is in his prime.

He has a lot to offer.

A move to Luton would not be a bad idea.

Luton will be aiming to avoid relegation to the Championship at the end of the season.

Holding would get to play regularly for Luton, and his experience and quality would help the team.

The defender has made 98 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.

Holding has scored two goals, given one assist, and kept 22 clean sheets in those games.
