West Ham United forward Jarrod Bowen says Arsenal transfer target Kaoru Mitoma is an ‘incredible’ player.
The Brighton and Hove Albion star is one of the best wingers in England and Jarrod Bowen thinks he has ‘set the Premier League alive’ since joining.
Added to that, the West Ham flyer thinks that Kaoru Mitoma is going to become ‘a real talent’ in years to come, as he told The Monday Night Club on BBC Radio 5 Live Sport.
Brighton have sold over £300 million worth of talent over the years and it wouldn’t be a surprise if Mitoma is the next one off the block, with Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal expressing an interest.
It has been suggested by talkSPORT that Arsenal, along with Bayern Munich, are keen on the 26-year-old, but he could be closer to signing a new deal at the Amex Stadium.
Either way, Bowen, who came up against Mitoma over the weekend as West Ham beat Brighton, shared his thoughts on the Japan star.

“I just think he is so direct,” said Bowen. “Every time he gets the ball, he wants to take someone on. He wants to create something for his teammates. I think, since he has come into the Premier League, he has been incredible.
“In our analysis before the game (West Ham’s win at Brighton), we saw the goal against Wolves, where he picked the ball up from near the halfway line and took it past people and into the back of the net.
“I think he has come in and set the Premier League alive – Part of my job on Saturday was to help Vlady (Coufal) one-v-one because I knew it would be difficult – once you let Mitoma go, then he can go either way and cause real problems.
“A real talent and in many years to come he is going to go on being better.”

The rise of Mitoma
It was when Mitoma was in Belgium that the eagle-eyes of Brighton scouted him, before snapping him up in 2021.
Whilst Brighton were progressing under then-manager Graham Potter, it wasn’t until Roberto De Zerbi entered the building last season that would Mitoma get a real run in the team.
Since then, the flyer hasn’t looked back, as the opposition have been chasing his shadows on a weekly basis.
