The Sun is reporting that West Ham United have re-opened talks with Premier League rivals Manchester United over Harry Maguire.

The Hammers are willing to pay Maguire a weekly salary of £120,000 and have offered him a four-year contract.

And the defender is ready to move to London Stadium despite his current salary at Manchester United being £190,000 per week.

West Ham have a £30 million deal with Manchester United already agreed upon, but the problem is that Maguire wants more than the £6 million payoff that the Red Devils have offered to him.

According to The Sun, West Ham have reopened talks with Manchester United over Maguire and are “trying to find a way to pay a little more” to help the Red Devils pay off the England international.

We believe that West Ham United should continue their pursuit of Manchester United central defender Harry Maguire.

It is clear that the England international defender wants to move to West Ham.

The issue is that he is not happy with the payoff that Manchester United are willing to offer him.

And you can understand why.

After all, Maguire would be taking a pay-cut to move to the Hammers.

There is nothing for West Ham to lose if they continue to push for a deal in the final days of the summer transfer window.

Strange things happen on and around deadline day.
