Tottenham Hotspur have shown a real interest in signing Feyenoord striker Santiago Gimenez during this transfer window.
Feyenoord striker Santiago Gimenez has attracted major interest from Tottenham Hotspur this summer.
That is according to FIFA agent Morris Pagniello, who has been speaking to Medio Tiempo over in Mexico.
Pagniello claims that Tottenham and many other clubs have been chasing Gimenez this summer.
Pagniello – an agent and part-owner of the Racing City group – believes that Gimenez’s stock is rising because other attackers have moved on to Saudi Arabia.
Gimenez has been branded as one of the top 10 strikers in Europe at the moment with Pagniello believing he is a man in demand.
Pagniello added that AC Milan, Inter Milan, Napoli and Lazio have all asked about signing Gimenez this summer.
The transfer window doesn’t close until next week so a departure can’t be completely ruled out but it looks like he will stay at Feyenoord.
“Santi is one of the Top 10 players in Europe, of the strikers there are because there are few and now with the departure of many strikers who went to Saudi Arabia, there are few on the market,” said Pagniello. “So even Tottenham, many clubs; I have a friend who trains there and there are many clubs that would like to have Santi this season,” he added.

Santiago Gimenez should appeal to Tottenham Hotspur
Tottenham were interested in landing Feyenoord boss Arne Slot earlier this summer before landing Ange Postecoglou.
Spurs will surely have been impressed with Feyenoord last season as they won the Eredivisie title and reached the Europa League semi-finals.
Gimenez was one of the star players for Feyenoord last season following a summer move from Cruz Azul.
Gimenez racked up 23 goals in 45 games across all competitions, becoming a sensation in Rotterdam.
The 22-year-old was born in Argentina but plays for Mexico and has already recorded four goals in 18 caps.

A physical centre forward who has shown the ability to lead the line, get in behind defences and link-up play, Gimenez has shown the potential to be a pretty complete striker.
There is a big jump from the top of the Eredivisie to the upper echelons of the Premier League but Tottenham are searching for a striker after losing Harry Kane.
The profile they’re seeking seems to be a speedy, versatile forward like Gift Orban and Brennan Johnson.
Gimenez offers more of a classic number nine option, something Ange Postecoglou utilised at Celtic with Giorgos Giakoumakis.
The Feyenoord star is a name for Tottenham to keep close tabs on, though maybe for 2024 now rather than in the final days of this summer’s window.
