Fabrizio Romano has reported on Twitter that Manchester United central defender Harry Maguire will not join David Moyes’s West Ham United in the summer transfer window.

The Italian journalist has claimed that a potential deal for Harry Maguire to join West Ham United from Premier League rivals Manchester United this summer is definitely off now.

Harry Maguire will not join West Ham United from Manchester United

Romano has noted that West Ham are now on the verge of signing former Arsenal defender Konstantinos Mavropanos from German club VfB Stuttgart.

Earlier this week, The Guardian reported that West Ham had agreed a deal with Manchester United for Maguire.

The England international central defender himself had agreed personal terms with the Hammers.

However, the 30-year-old wanted/wants a payoff from Manchester United to leave, as he would be on a lower salary at West Ham.

The Red Devils are not prepared to do that.

So, as things stand, Maguire is staying at Old Trafford despite it being clear that he is not in manager Erik ten Hag’s plans.

And West Ham have moved on.

Mavropanos is a very good defender who has done well since leaving Arsenal.

The Greece international is 25 now, and his best years are ahead of him.

We believe that the VfB Stuttgart defender would be a very good signing for West Ham in the summer transfer window.

The Hammers will play in the UEFA Europa League this season after winning the UEFA Europa Conference League last campaign.
