Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal have been linked with Kaoru Mitoma, and based on his performance and goal for Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday afternoon, it is not a surprise to see why the Gunners want to sign the winger.

According to talkSPORT last week, Arsenal are interested in signing Kaoru Mitoma from Brighton and Hove Albion in the summer transfer window.

The report added that Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich are keen on the 26-year-old winger as well.

TalkSPORT, though, did say that Brighton do not want to sell the Japan international winger and are confident of him signing a new long-term contract.

Mitoma was in action for Brighton against Wolves away from home at Molineux Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

The winger found the back of the net in the 15th minute.

As reported by talkSPORT, the winger beat four defenders on his way to netting past goalkeeper Jose Sa.

Mitoma cut in from the left wing and went past the challenges before getting the ball past Sa.

It was one of the best goals of the season so far and could end up being the best anyone will score in the Premier League this campaign.

And Gary Lineker was impressed.

As you can see from his post below, the former Tottenham Hotspur striker and Match of the Day presenter on BBC One was mesmerised by Mitoma’s strike.

Just imagine Mitoma doing something similar with Arsenal if he did join the Gunners this summer.

The Emirates Stadium faithful would love a player like Mitoma in their team, but we do not think that Brighton will sell him this summer.
