Arsenal defender Gabriel Magalhaes is the next big-money player linked with a move to Saudi Arabia as the Brazilian defender could be on his way out of London.

According to the report from The Mirror, ‌the eye-watering sums have been tempting the players but Arsenal are under no pressure to sell Gabriel and have yet to receive a firm bid for the defender who joined Arsenal from Lille back in 2020.

Arsenal have replacements in mind and are interested in defender Marc Guehi from Crystal Palace but the Brazilian looks likely to stay in North London.

Gunners boss Mikel Arteta would also be interested in Aymeric Laporte, who he worked with at Manchester City.‌

The ACL injury suffered by Dutch defender Jurrien Timber has potentially thrown a spanner in the works for Arsenal’s plans and the Brazilian may well be staying at the Emirates.

Who would the defender join?

Al-Nassr have seen a move for Eric Bailly fall through and could well be struggling in negotiations with City defender Aymeric Laporte so Gabriel may well be an option.

The former Lille defender would surely demand a hefty fee were he to make the move to the Saudi side but the side, managed by former Benfica boss Jorge Jesus, would surely have no issue in being able to afford the defender.

Al-Hilal could be an option, too, it just depends on whether Arsenal would decide to sell the defender who has formed such a reliable partnership with William Saliba and it would be a surprise if Mikel Arteta sanctioned the departure of the defender.
