Chelsea midfielder and Tottenham Hotspur target Conor Gallagher has been unconvinced by a potential move to West Ham United.
Conor Gallagher has been left unconvinced by West Ham United’s stability as they looked to sign the Chelsea midfielder.
That is according to the Daily Mail, who claim that Gallagher was first approached by West Ham in July.
However, the Chelsea midfielder just wasn’t convinced by the structure at West Ham and that’s why no move has materialised.
West Ham brought in a new technical director this summer with Tim Steidten coming in after leaving Bayer Leverkusen.
Steidten and boss David Moyes haven’t exactly seemed to be on the same page this summer with a split on whether to go for European or UK-based talent.
90Min highlighted ‘internal conflicts’ at West Ham, something Gallagher may well have sensed during their pursuit.
Gallagher remains a Chelsea player but the arrival of Mosies Caicedo and the imminent signing of Romeo Lavia may impact his playing time.
Gallagher may still consider an exit but West Ham will have to be much more convincing with their next attempt.

Tottenham Hotspur still an option for Conor Gallagher
West Ham’s inability to convince Gallagher may just open the door for Tottenham Hotspur.
Spurs have been linked with Gallagher for a while now with Ange Postecoglou seemingly keen.
The Guardian claimed in July that Tottenham had held talks to try and bring Gallagher to North London.

We don’t see Chelsea and Tottenham strike deals very often but the Blues may be tempted to cash in on Gallagher.
Spurs want homegrown players and Gallagher’s energy seems to be a good fit for Postecoglou’s midfield.
Tottenham are a little heavy in midfield right now though and may need Pierre-Emile Højbjerg and Tanguy Ndombele to move on before landing another midfielder.
Spurs will be keeping close tabs on Gallagher’s situation though and especially after learning that West Ham seemingly had problems convincing him.
