Sevilla president Jose Castro has admitted that Marcos Acuna can be sold for the right price as Premier League outfit Aston Villa weigh up a deal for Argentina’s World Cup winner.
With Alex Moreno out of action for another couple of weeks, and Lucas Digne attracting interest from Saudi Arabia, Galatasaray’s Nicolo Zaniolo is not the only player who could be arriving to fill a hole in Unai Emery’s squad in the final fortnight of the window.
Zaniolo, per The Telegraph, should be unveiled by Aston Villa before next weekend’s Everton clash. The Italy international will arrive on loan – potentially with a £17 million option-to-buy clause in his contract – following the loss of Emi Buendia to a serious knee problem.

The report adds that Villa are also hard at work looking to bring Marcos Acuna to the Midlands too.
Aston Villa keen on Sevilla ace Marcos Acuna
The former Sporting Lisbon flyer – who featured in December’s World Cup final – would give Emery some valuable cover in the left-back spot should Digne depart. Moreno, so impressive since his January arrival, also missed Saturday’s 5-1 hammering at Newcastle United due to injury.
And, when quizzed on Acuna’s future, Sevilla’s president did not rule out a departure.
“He has a price,” Castro tells El Desmarque. “Our team is a team with champion players, and the champions have a price.
“If an offer arrives, we will study it. If it arrives, if we understand that it is good and that it corresponds to his value, in addition to helping us grow, we will do it (sell Acuna),” Castro adds.
“(Should the offer) not meet those requirements, he will stay in Sevilla. Nothing will happen.”
AS believe that Sevilla want ‘significantly more’ than 15 million euros (£13m) for Acuna. Aston Villa may have reservations about paying such a fee for a player who will turn 32 in October.

“When there are offers, we study and analyse them,” Castro reiterates. If we believe they have sufficient value, we will see if there is a possibility of a transfer.
“Until now, these circumstances have not occurred.”
