Moises Caicedo is reportedly furious that Brighton and Hove Albion are trying to sell him to Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool when he wants to move to Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea.

According to Football Transfers, Moises Caicedo wants to join only Chelsea, but Brighton and Hove Albion want to sell him to Liverpool because they have a strong relationship with the Merseyside club.

Moises Caicedo wants to join Chelsea, not Liverpool

The report has claimed that when the Ecuador international midfielder heard that Brighton had agreed a deal with Liverpool, he was “furious”.

Caicedo has already personal terms with Chelsea and has told Liverpool that he wants to move to Stamford Bridge, according to the report.

The Mirror has also claimed that Liverpool have agreed a £110 million deal with Brighton, but the Reds have been told by Caicedo that he prefers a transfer to Chelsea.

So, for a transfer to happen this summer, all Chelsea need to do is pay more than the £110 million that Liverpool have offered for Caicedo, or at least match that sum.

Brighton would surely rather sell Caicedo for £110 million to Chelsea than keep him at the club against his wish.

It will be interesting to see how much the Blues would now be willing to pay for the 21-year-old midfielder.

The biggest winners of this transfer saga are Brighton.

The Seagulls will get over £100 million for a 21-year-old who has had just one good season in the Premier League.

Chelsea will look to finish in the top four of the Premier League table this season, while Liverpool will aim for the title.
