The Italian journalist has claimed that Arsenal are “optimistic and confident” that they will be able to sign David Raya from London and Premier League rivals Brentford in the summer transfer window.
Romano has said that the Spain international goalkeeper him is keen on a move to Arsenal and is “insisting to make the deal happen”.
The reporter has noted that Arsenal made the bid on Thursday.
Romano reported on Thursday that Arsenal’s initial offer for Raya was £20 million plus £3 million in add-ons.

The Spanish star is out of contract with the Bees at the end of next season.
