Bryan Gil has provided a positive update to Tottenham Hotspur fans after the Spanish winger underwent surgery for an injury on Wednesday.
The 22-year-old Tottenham player posted on his Instagram story ‘everything came out great’, as he was pictured lying on a hospital bed with his thumbs up to the camera.
Last season, Bryan Gil was on-loan at Spanish side, Sevilla, where he won the Europa League after helping dethrone Jose Mourinho’s Roma in the final.
But it seems as though he has been carrying an injury, hence his need for surgery, with Spanish outlet Marca reporting that he has been in ‘discomfort for a while’ and it needed sorting.
As a result, he could be facing two months on the sidelines, which means, by the time he is back, Premier League football could be heading towards the hectic and quite busy festive period.
Nonetheless, this was the message Gil sent to supporters today.

“Everything came out great,” wrote Gil on his IG story. “Thank you for the messages of support.”

Gil faces more issues at Tottenham
During the summer of 2021, Spurs paid Sevilla £22 million for his talents, whilst Erik Lamela headed towards the other direction (Sky Sports).
Fast forward to the present and he is winning a trophy with Lamela in the colours of Sevilla, as his Spurs career just hasn’t taken off.
He has played only 31 games, not helped by the fact that it was Nuno Espirito Santo who brought him in and it was Antonio Conte that loaned him out, yet upon his return this summer, it’s Ange Postecoglou in the dugout.
In truth, Gil fits Postecoglou’s attacking style more than any of the other previous managers Spurs have had, so if he can get back on the training pitch as soon as possible, then he needs to get this to work, or else, it’s better off just letting him go for good.
