Ramon Vega says Tottenham Hotspur have no choice but to ‘sell’ Harry Kane this summer amid talk of Daniel Levy’s meeting with Bayern Munich about a transfer.
The former Tottenham player thinks Daniel Levy, the club’s underfire chairman, has put Harry Kane in a ‘very difficult position’, as he told The Last Word On Spurs.
Amid suggestions that the 30-year-old won’t sign a new contract this summer – he has less than 12 months left to run – then Vega says there is ‘no question’ that money has to be accepted for their goal-crazy striker.
On Monday, there were suggestions that Bayern Munich held a meeting with Levy in London about Kane – a Sky reporter shared how the player would feel if a deal collapsed.
Given that Levy is having these meetings, then it surely only points towards one direction and that the England captain heading to Germany.
The quicker a deal is done, the better for the club and their need to bring in new faces, such as new defensive options, according to Vega.

“Daniel Levy has put him in a very difficult position and not in a very strong position at the same time,” said Vega. “You have one of the best strikers in the Premier League and historically scoring God knows how much.
“When you don’t want to sign a new contract, then there is no question mark, you have to sell it. It’s as simple as that. Bayern Munich are the ones who come into it. They are a very, very big club. Massive club. He would definitely like it, that’s not even a question mark, and he will win something, that’s certain with Bayern.
“If he leaves (for Bayern), then he isn’t going to do damage against us. He can walk with his head held up high and nobody would complain – I think it’s a win-win for the club and for Harry Kane.
“If the right offer is there and he can close it, then do it next week, as soon as possible because with that money you can get some centre-backs in. And some new young strikers.”

Levy under fire more than ever
When Ange Postecoglou was appointed, he highlighted the goalkeeping department and the centre-back area as a cause for concern.
Well, the new Premier League season is upon us and Spurs haven’t signed a new centre-back yet.
Added to that, Kane could head for the exit door anytime soon. What’s worse is that he could be sold during the final few weeks, which just makes it very difficult for the club to bring in the players they want.
