Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah accepts that he needs to leave the club this summer with Axel Disasi set to arrive.

Trevoh Chalobah is now ready to quit Chelsea as he believes his first-team chances will be limited this season.

That is according to the London Evening Standard, who report that Chalobah is ready to leave Stamford Bridge.

Wesley Fofana’s injury appears to have been the final straw for Chalobah.

The Frenchman is set to miss most of the season and Chalobah would have been looking to fill in.

Instead, Chelsea have gone and struck a £38million deal for Axel Disasi with the Monaco defender set to arrive.

Disasi will join Thiago Silva as right-footed options with Levi Colwill and Benoit Badiashile competing on the left.

That leaves Chalobah out in the cold and he is allegedly ready to call time on his Chelsea career once and for all.

The problem is that Chelsea want a staggering deal worth around £45million for Chalobah, a price that few clubs will be willing to pay.

Trevoh Chalobah has suitors as Chelsea exit nears

The Standard’s report claims that Inter Milan remain keen on Chalobah having previously wanted him.

There is also interest in the Premier League though as 90Min claimed three clubs were keen on Chalobah.

Their report from early July suggested that Newcastle United had registered an interest in signing Chalobah.

Crystal Palace and West Ham United are also interested as they seek defensive reinforcements.

The 23-year-old has shown his quality in the Chelsea first-team before but Mauricio Pochettino clearly feels that Disasi is a better option.

We can’t see Newcastle or West Ham paying £45million for Chalobah though, even if his versatility to play at centre back, right back and in midfield will appeal.

Chalobah could be a key name in the final months of the transfer window with clubs no doubt set to try and haggle Chelsea’s asking price down.
