Feyenoord are reportedly closing in on LA Galaxy teenager Paulo Rudisill, with the Dutch giants working on the final details of a transfer.

According to 1908.nl, the reigning Eredivisie champions have been working throughout the weekend to finalize Rudisill’s transfer to Rotterdam, with Feyenoord keeping tabs on the teenager for some months.

Holder of an Italian passport, Rudisill’s move to the Netherlands is expected to be completed in the coming days, with the US youth international set to become the latest American talent to be snapped up by a major European club.

Feyenoord won last season’s Dutch title with Arne Slot’s side set to compete in the UEFA Champions League, and Rudisill is now expected to join the club’s academy set-up that in recent years has produced some top players.

As well as joining an incredible youth program, Holland has proven to be an excellent breeding ground for American players, with US international Ricardo Pepi the latest player to make a name for themselves in the Eredivisie.

Whilst Rudisill is yet to make a senior appearance for the Galaxy, this move to the Netherlands will be viewed as a dream transfer for the 17-year-old, who could take his development to the next level with Feyenoord next season.

Rudisill’s potential is clear for all the see, with the midfielder on course to become one of the next breakout American stars in Europe following his move to Feyenoord.

And the Dutch giants’ aggressive pursuit for the teenager could point to Rudisill one day becoming a starter for Feyenoord, who are not scared to hand youngsters their professional debuts if deemed good enough.

With the right training, Rudisill could make his debut for Feyenoord in the next 12 months, a potentially massive achievement for the teenager as well as for the MLS academy system.
