Aston Villa defender Diego Carlos has approved Fabinho’s imminent transfer from Liverpool to Saudi Arabia by liking Fabrizio Romano’s post on Instagram.

The transfer expert posted on Instagram his trademark ‘Here We Go’ to Fabinho’s transfer from Liverpool to Saudi Arabia Pro League side, Al Ittihad.

And, amid the controversy about his move following Jordan Henderson’s exit, the Brazil star’s expected move wasn’t just liked by Aston Villa centre-back Diego Carlos, but also Roberto Firmino and Kostas Tsimikas.

When it comes to those repping the Premier League, there has been a lot of criticism of Saudi trying to change their football landscape by nabbing some of the best players in Europe.

Whilst Fabinho had a pretty poor 12 months last time out, he is still a top-quality number six and he was set to help Jurgen Klopp get the club back on track ahead of the forthcoming campaign.

But the German coach will have to do without the 29-year-old and also his now-departed captain, Henderson – Who will be Liverpool’s next captain? Well, it has been suggested that it won’t be Andy Robertson or Alisson Becker.

Fabinho and Henderson’s exit

These are big, big changes at Liverpool and it puts heated pressure on the new boys through the building this summer – Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai – and those currently at the club.

Klopp is going to miss a player that mirrored him on the field of play – Jordan Henderson – not forgetting, those leadership qualities.

And whilst Fabinho wasn’t at his best last term, the £180k-a-week star (Spotrac) was surely going to re-find that trophy-winning form with fresh legs beside him.
