Arsenal could now sell goalkeeper Matt Turner with Nottingham Forest chasing the United States international.
Matt Turner may already be on his way out of Arsenal as a move to Nottingham Forest becomes a real possibility.
That is according to The Athletic, who claim that Forest are targeting a deal for Turner.
It’s suggested that Forest want to sign two goalkeepers this summer and Turner is now one of them.
The report claims that there is currently a real distance in valuation over Turner with Arsenal and Forest so far yet to agree on a deal.
There is allegedly ‘no guarantee’ that Turner heads to the City Ground but talks are ongoing over a potential deal.
Turner only joined Arsenal last summer, arriving in a deal worth up to £7.5million after impressing with New England Revolution.
The 29-year-old didn’t feature in a single Premier League game though and made just three total appearances in 2023.
That may leave Turner considering a departure but Forest clearly have work to do yet.

Matt Turner always felt like a strange fit for Arsenal
Arsenal saw quality in Turner and felt that he could be cover for Aaron Ramsdale once Bernd Leno moved on.
Turner didn’t exactly cover himself in glory last season though and a shaky display away at Sporting proved to be his final appearance of the campaign.
The United States international has been hailed as an ‘incredible’ goalkeeper by Brad Friedel but he felt like a surprise Arsenal target at the time.

Turner was a good shot-stopper in Major League Soccer but had never really impressed with his distribution.
Turner worked hard on that aspect of his game last season and whilst progress was made, he’s not a like-for-like replacement for Aaron Ramsdale.
Arsenal are now targeting David Raya, who makes much more sense for Arsenal in terms of their style of play.
Arsenal may well be tempted to cash in on Turner if an offer comes, with Forest now making their move.
