Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool will reportedly have to pay £20 million to sign Tyler Adams from Leeds United in the summer transfer window.

In June, TEAMTalk reported that Liverpool are among the clubs who are interested in signing Tyler Adams from Leeds United in the summer transfer window.

West Ham United have also been linked with Adams, who was described as “outstanding” by his Leeds teammate Luke Ayling in December 2022.

The Athletic have now reported that Adams has a relegation clause in his contract at Leeds.

The West Yorkshire club will play in the Championship next season after getting relegated from the Premier League.

Adams has a relegation release clause of £20 million, the same amount that Leeds paid to RB Leipzig in the summer of 2022 to sign the USA international midfielder, according to the report.

Liverpool should move for Leeds United midfielder Tyler Adams

In our opinion, if £20 million is what it would take for Liverpool to sign Tyler Adams from Leeds United, then the Merseyside club have to make a move.

Now.

Aston Villa are keen on Adams, and so are West Ham.

For £20 million, the American would be a bargain signing for any club in the Premier League.

The 24-year-old showed last season how good he is and was one of the best players for Leeds before his injury.

Adams has proven himself in the Premier League.

And, given that he is only 24, the American could only grow and develop in the coming years.

Adams, whose 2022-23 campaign ended early due to injury, made 24 appearances in the Premier League and played two matches for the FA Cup for Leeds last season.

We believe that Liverpool would be a better team with Adams in it.
