Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg seems to be in a buoyant mood in Tottenham Hotspur training despite rumours suggesting that he could be Atletico Madrid-bound.

The Tottenham midfielder posted on Instagram and asked a question to fans – ‘Vikings vs Joga Bonito (The beautiful game). Who wins?’.

Added with the caption, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg also included an image of the linked-away star battling for the ball with his teammate, Richarlison.

The Brazil star proceeded to respond in the comments section with a gif of him celebrating to which the Denmark star responded and said ‘no no no, impossible’.

These could be the last few days that Hojbjerg spends with his Spurs teammates, it has been claimed that he has an agreement in place to leave and join Atletico Madrid.

Well, if that so happens to be the case, then his post below is probably his last message from Tottenham training.

The right time for Hojbjerg to move on

If the 27-year-old is getting knocks on the door from a club the size of Atletico, and in with a chance to play in the Champions League next season, then he can’t turn it down.

Like many Spurs players last season, things didn’t go great for the player. He wasn’t helped by the fact that Antonio Conte put him in a two-man midfield, but the form just wasn’t there.

If he decides to link up with Diego Simeone, then that hard-hitting and aggressive style will suit the player far better than the defensive system Conte put up or the attacking style Ange Postecoglou is now looking to deploy.
