Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham Hotspur will reportedly soon step up their pursuit of Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Moises Caicedo.
Rudy Galetti has reported on Twitter that Chelsea are keen on signing midfielder Moises Caicedo from Premier League rivals Brighton and Hove Albion in the summer transfer window.
The Italian journalist has claimed that Brighton want £100 million in transfer fees for the 21-year-old Ecuador international, described as “magnificent” by former Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Jamie Redknapp on Sky Sports Premier League (13/11/22 at 1:45 pm).
Chelsea are not willing to pay that.
However, the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners are determined to sign Caicedo and plan to make a new bid in the coming days, according to Galetti.
The reporter has added that Chelsea head coach Mauricio Pochettino considers Caicedo the ideal player for his team in midfield.
Chelsea could be able to sign Moises Caicedo from Brighton and Hove Albion
In our opinion, Chelsea could be able to sign Moises Caicedo from Brighton and Hove Albion in the summer transfer window.
Journalist Ben Jacobs reported in CaughtOffSide last week that the youngster has directly told Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi that he wants to join Chelsea this summer.

We do not think that Brighton should keep the player against his will.
And we do not think that any club will pay £100 million for the 21-year-old.
That is simply too much to ask for a player who has had just one good season in the Premier League.
And he is only 21.
What Chelsea would be paying for is largely potential.
Perhaps Chelsea and Brighton could compromise and do a deal for £70 million plus add-ons.
Caicedo made 34 starts and three substitute appearances in the Premier League for Brighton last season.
The 21-year-old scored one goal and gave one assist in those games.
