The Italy international would be able to make an immediate impact at Liverpool.
Verratti has extensive experience of playing in the UEFA Champions League, and he would be able to help the Reds win the competition in the coming years.
Liverpool will not play in the UEFA Champions League next season, but the Merseyside club will surely aim to win it once they get back in Europe’s premier club competition.
Verratti is a very cultured midfielder who has a wide passing range and can control the game from the middle of the park.
And he is a winner.
During his time at PSG so far, the Italian star has won the Ligue 1 title nine times and reached the final of the UEFA Champions League in 2019-20.
Verratti also won the Euro 2020 finals with Italy.
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is a big fan of Verratti and rates the Italian star highly.
In September 2021, the former Barcelona boss described Verratti as an “exceptional” midfielder who “manages to find those passes that allow the midfield to be free” (Goal).
Guardiola added that he was “in love with him”, saying that “you can always count on him to build the game”.
