Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool and David Moyes’s West Ham United could reportedly receive bad news in their pursuit of Fulham defensive midfielder Joao Palhinha.
Liverpool and West Ham United linked with Fulham star Joao Palhinha
According to The Mirror, Liverpool and West Ham United are interested in signing Joao Palhinha from Premier League rivals Fulham in the summer transfer window.
Liverpool want to sign Palhinha as a potential replacement for Brazilian midfielder Fabinho, who is on his way to Saudi Arabia.
West Ham are eyeing a move for the Portugal international star to replace Declan Rice, who joined London and Premier League rivals Arsenal this summer.

Palhinha was brilliant for Fulham last season, and we are not surprised at all that Liverpool and West Ham are keen on him.
The midfielder made 35 appearances in the Premier League for Fulham last season.
Palhinha scored three goals in those games.
Potential Joao Palhinha blow
However, Liverpool and West Ham will be disappointed to learn that Palhinha suffered a potentially serious injury on Sunday.
The 28-year-old was in action for Fulham in their opening Summer Series match against Brentford.
The Cottagers won the match against their London rivals 3-2.
Harry Wilson, Bobby De Cordova-Reid and Carlos Vinicius scored the goals for Fulham.
Palhinha suffered an injury just before half time and left the pitch visibly hurt.
And Fulham manager Marco Silva has said that the injury suffered by the 28-year-old is serious.
Silva told Fulham’s official website: “Unfortunately, it doesn’t look good. It’s serious, but let’s hope it’s not too serious.
“It’s his shoulder, probably dislocated. Tomorrow he’s going to do a scan and it will be more clear for me to update you on the situation.
“Let’s hope it’s not another long-term injury for us.”
Liverpool and West Ham will now have to wait for Fulham to announce the extent of the injury suffered by the midfielder before making any further decisions.
