Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has raved about William Saliba.
Mikel Arteta has said on Arsenal’s official website that William Saliba is a huge player for the Gunners.
The Arsenal boss has noted that the 22-year-old France international defender is doing very well at the moment.
Arteta is also happy that Saliba has decided to commit his future to Arsenal.
Earlier this summer, the 22-year-old put pen to paper on a new long-term deal with Arsenal.
Arteta said about Saliba: “He’s doing really well. Obviously he’s a huge player for us. We know what he brings to the team.
“He looks good fitness wise, I think he’s in a good moment. He’s happy, obviously he extended his contract and all seems to be OK.”

In our opinion, William Saliba is one of the best young defenders out there and is a big player for Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal.
The 22-year-old was one of the best players in the Premier League last season.
Saliba established himself as a rock at the back for Arsenal and formed a very strong partnership with Gabriel in central defence.
The Arsenal no. 2 made 27 appearances in the Premier League for the Gunners last season.
Saliba scored two goals and gave one assist in those games.
The France international centre-back also scored one goal in four UEFA Europa League matches and made one substitute appearance in the FA Cup.
One of the big reasons why Arsenal struggled defensively in the final games of the season was the absence of Saliba due to injury.
Who knows, had Saliba been fit, Arsenal could have won the Premier League title ahead of Manchester City.
We believe that for Arsenal to be successful next season, Saliba will have to be on top of his game.
The Gunners will be determined to win the Premier League title next season as well as make a big impact in the UEFA Champions League.
