Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool could reportedly miss out on the signing of Malcom.

FootMercato reported earlier this month that Liverpool are interested in signing Malcom from FC Zenit Saint Petersburg in the summer transfer window.

The report claimed that Liverpool “appreciates” the £108,000-a-week (SalarySport) Brazil international, who is open to a move to Anfield this summer.

However, it now seems that former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners Liverpool could miss out on the signing of Malcom, who can operate as a forward or a winger.

Rudy Galetti has reported on Twitter that Malcom has reached “a full agreement” with Al Hilal.

The Italian journalist has claimed that Al Hilal have made an offer to Zenit, and that the two clubs will now have to agree a deal for the Brazilian, who scored 23 goals and gave seven assists in 27 Russian Premier League matches for Zenit last season.

Potential Malcom blow for Liverpool

If Liverpool are genuinely keen on Malcom, then the report that the Brazilian star is reportedly about to move to Al Hilal will come as a disappointment.

It seems that Al Hilal are very keen on the winger.

After all, the Saudi Arabian club have made a bid for him to Zenit and have already personal terms with the winger.

We do not think that Liverpool will now be able to sign the winger.

It is hard to see the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners make a bid that is more than Al Hilal, especially for a player they do not need.

We do not think that the Reds have any need for another forward, especially one who is a striker.

Mohamed Salah, Luis Diaz, Cody Gakpo, Diogo Jota and Darwin Nunez are the forward options for Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp at the moment.

Do Liverpool need to add another forward player to their squad?

Could Klopp be able to find room for him in the team?

We do not think so.
