‘Why’: Jamie O’Hara reacts to possible actions of Tottenham’s Harry Kane amid Bayern interest

Jamie O’Hara has questioned why Harry Kane would hand in a transfer request at Tottenham Hotspur amid interest from German giants, Bayern Munich.

It was put to the former Tottenham midfielder that Harry Kane could do that this summer, but he made it clear that it won’t happen, as he even questioned the striker’s desire to join Bayern Munich, as he told talkSPORT.

One thing is for sure, former Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel wants the England captain on board, but that doesn’t mean Tottenham or Daniel Levy will sell.

But some sort of call does need to be made this summer. That’s either the in-demand player being sold or signing a new contract.

If that latter happens tomorrow, then it shuts up all the noise around Kane’s future and allows Ange Postecoglou to build for the future.

But, until then, it’s still getting everybody talking, as O’Hara doesn’t see the logic in the 29-year-old leaving for the Premier League now.

“I don’t think he will do that,” said O’Hara. “Why would he put in a transfer request when he has a year left on his contract? It’s just no need for him to do that.

“I think he is very comfortable in the situation that he is in. At the end of the day, Bayern Munich, we say we want 115 million Euros for Harry Kane, if you aren’t putting that offer in, then there is no point in having the discussion.

“I think Harry Kane will just be patient with it. I think he will be professional as he always is. He will score goals next season.

“I don’t know if he is 100% keen on going to Bayern Munich. Why would you leave the Premier League, when you are 48 goals away from the Premier League’s all-time record? You can leave on a free next season and go and play in the Premier League for someone else.”

Kane would transform Bayern

They might have won ten German titles on the bounce, but the previous campaign was one of near disaster for the club.

Tuchel will be hoping to change that all around, with the main aim being to win the European Cup.

In the ten or so years Kane has been a professional, Bayern have won two Champions League titles, and if they can get the Englishman on board, then there is no reason why they can’t add another to their cabinet.
