Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has reportedly told Jordan Henderson that he is free to leave Anfield in the summer transfer window.

Fabrizio Romano has said on his YouTube channel that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has directly told midfielder Jordan Henderson that he can leave if he wants to.

The Italian journalist has claimed that Klopp has made it clear to the £190,000-a-week (SalarySport) England international midfielder that he is not guaranteed a place in the starting lineup.

The Daily Mail have reported that Saudi Pro League club Al Ettifaq want to sign Henderson in the summer transfer window and are willing to pay the midfielder £700,000 per week as salary.

New Al Ettifaq manager and Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard personally wants to sign the 33-year-old midfielder, according to the report.

What Jurgen Klopp has reportedly told Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson

Romano said: “What I can is that my understanding is that in the conversation between Jordan Henderson and Jurgen Klopp on Thursday around lunchtime, the message from the manager was very clear. If you find an opportunity, you can go because here game time will be limited.”

Exit likely?

In our opinion, it is now likely that Jordan Henderson will leave Liverpool.

The England international is 33 now, and it is clear that he is not the player he once was.

If Klopp has made it clear to the midfielder that he can leave, then it suggests that the Liverpool boss is not particular fussed about him staying.

That should indicate to Henderson that he should just leave Liverpool and move to Saudi Arabia.
