Joe Rothwell has spoken out about the early impact new boss Andoni Iraola is having at Bournemouth.
Speaking to Bournemouth’s official website, Joe Rothwell has given an insight into what life is now like at the club under the gaze of Andoni Iraola.
Rothwell himself is currently recovering from an injury so has been often been restricted to a watching brief as the Cherries’ pre-season training schedule has gotten underway in recent days. However, he has still noticed a change in proceedings now that Iraola is in charge.
The midfielder says, “the lads that have been involved a bit more are loving the training…I’ve watched a few sessions, I think it’s really good. I like the way he looks like he wants to play.”
Fans will be excited to see Iraola’s vision come to fruition on the pitch.

What Bournemouth expect from Iraola
Bournemouth will be hoping that Iraola’s impact is seen on the pitch this season in a positive sense. That will justify their appointment of the Spanish coach, after controversially opting to let Gary O’Neil go after he guided the south coast club to Premier League survival last season.
The club’s hierarchy are looking to Iraola bring consistency this season, as well as utilising a system that gets the best out of the club’s most talented players, such as Philip Billing, Dominic Solanke, and David Brooks.
Avoiding relegation again this time around will be a tall order, and there will be pressure on Iraola from the start to maintain the positivity O’Neil generated at the Vitality Stadium last time out.
