The agent of Zenit St Petersburg star Malcom insists that 50 million euros will not be enough as reports link Premier League giants Liverpool and Arsenal with the Brazil international.
OK, so the Saudi Arabian top-flight is more than a retirement league for football’s golden oldies. Middle Eastern moves for Ruben Neves and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic – a talismanic presence at Wolves and Lazio respectively – put pay to that accusation.
Malcom, scorer of 26 goals as Zenit St Petersburg claimed another domestic title in 2023, could soon be following in Neves’ footsteps, though it remains to be seen whether a player who recently forced his way back into the international reckoning would be willing to risk his Brazil place amid suggestions that an as-yet unnamed Saudi Arabian club are stumping up 50 million euros for his signature.

According to FootMercato, there is interest from Liverpool too, albeit nothing concrete at this stage. Arsenal, Newcastle and Mancehster City have also been linked in the recent past, while Malcom admitted to holding talks with Paris Saint-Germain during the January window.
Malcom could be on his way to Saudi Arabia
Malcom’s agent, Paulo Barbosa, was reluctant to give much away when asked about those Saudi rumours. He did, however, make it clear that £42 million would not be enough to land even Malcom’s weaker right boot.
“You need to understand whether the information about Saudi Arabia is true,” Barbosa tells RIA Novosti.
“There is a lot of misinformation about this country. If there really is an offer, the club and the player must decide for themselves.
“As for the amount of a possible transfer, 50 million euros is not enough. Now Malcolm is worth a lot more.”

Malcom, who does much of his best work when cutting in from the right-hand flank, would face competition from Mo Salah and Bukayo Saka for a starting spot at Liverpool and Arsenal.
As things stand, there is nothing to suggest that the interest from either club is anything more than tentative; the Gunners sending scouts to watch the far-more-affordable Bitello in action for Brazilian outfit Gremio.
