Perr Schuurs is now reportedly open to a move to Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool in the summer transfer window.
Torino defender Perr Schuurs open to Liverpool transfer
According to Tuttosport, Liverpool are interested in signing Perr Schuurs from Torino in the summer transfer window.
Napoli, who won the Serie A title last season, are also keen on securing the services of the 23-year-old Dutch central defender.
Tuttosport have reported that Schuurs finds a potential move to the Premier League and to Liverpool appealing now.
Crystal Palace and West Ham United also keen on the defender, but he would prefer a move to Liverpool.
U-turn
And this new report indicates that the young defender has made a U-turn over a potential transfer to Liverpool.
In late May, Tuttosport claimed that Schuurs wanted to stay at Torino for another season at least and did not fancy joining Liverpool in the summer transfer window.
Tuttosport quoted Schuurs’s entourage as saying that the youngster will “100%” stay at Torino next season.
According to the report, the Dutch defender wants to grow and develop as a player, and he believes that he would be able to do that best at Torino.

However, it now appears that Schuurs has made a compete U-turn over his stance regarding Liverpool.
The defender is highly rated in the footballing community, including by former Liverpool striker Michael Owen.
Owen was hugely impressed by the defender when he was at Ajax.
Schuurs moved to Torino in the summer of 2022.
“(Schuurs) will be the new Matthijs de Ligt,” Owen told BT Sport (21 October, 10.30pm).
“He is still young, but what a body and what strength. He already reminds me a lot of De Ligt.
“Nice on the ball, aggressive and strong for his age. (Ajax) sold De Ligt for a lot of money but he can take over that role completely.”
