Leeds United’s Marc Roca has agreed a £10 million move to Real Betis but the La Liga outfit under pressure to sell before they can buy with Luiz Felipe’s West Ham switch a potential solution to the problem.

During his unveiling as Leeds United’s new head coach last week, Daniel Farke indicated that decisions would have to be made regarding the future of many players facing uncertain futures at Elland Road. And quickly.

“We need to have some good decisions now,” Farke told The Athletic. “Some quick decisions.”

That Diego Llorente and Brenden Aaronson sealed their moves to Roma and Union Berlin almost immediately after Farke’s appointment, then, was perhaps no coincidence; Farke putting his stamp on the Leeds squad already.

Rasmus Kristensen could join Llorente at Roma too, while a deal to take Marc Roca back to La Liga has already been given the green light from Leeds’ perspective.

Marc Roca could leave Leeds United for La Liga

Underwhelming following his arrival from Bayern Munich a year ago, AS report that former Espanyol ace Roca has agreed to join Real Betis on loan with an option-to-buy clause in his contract set at £10 million.

The deal, however, is currently in limbo. Betis need to free up funds for Roca’s arrival by removing a number of first-team players from a crippling wage bill. The good news, as far as Manuel Pellegrini’s Verdiblancos are concerned, is that deals to cash in on Loren Moron, Martin Montoya, Dani Martin and Luiz Felipe are all very much underway.

The latter, a Leeds target during the Marcelo Bielsa era, could finally be on his way to England with West Ham.

According to ABC de Sevilla, David Moyes’ Conference League winners are closing in on a deal to sign the Brazil-born Italy international for around £17 million after talks between the two clubs reached an advanced stage over the course of the last week.

Roca’s departure, meanwhile, should see Farke and Leeds’ new sporting director – potentially former Norwich chief Stuart Webber – target a replacement.

West Brom’s Jayson Molumby is an option.
