Divock Origi isn’t interested in a move to West Ham United despite suggestions of a swap involving Gianluca Scamacca.
AC Milan striker Divock Origi wants to stay at the San Siro rather than return to England with West Ham United.
That is according to Gazzetta dello Sport, who claim that Origi has been discussed in two potential exit routes.
One of them is to Saudi Arabia, with Origi eyed up as another notable name to join the likes of Karim Benzema and N’Golo Kante.
However, Origi allegedly isn’t interested in heading to the Middle East right now.
The same goes for West Ham though as Origi’s name has been mentioned as a makeweight for Gianluca Scamacca.
Origi is determined to stay at Milan though and has made it clear that he isn’t interested in a West Ham move.
West Ham United can do better than Divock Origi
We can understand Milan wanting to send Origi to West Ham as part of a deal for Scamacca.
The Belgian only joined Milan from Liverpool last summer but is already on the chopping block after just two goals in 36 games.
Origi failed to make an impact at Milan and they may be keen to offload the 28-year-old this summer.
Origi’s Premier League experience with Liverpool may make him appealing to West Ham, but they can do better.
Yes, Origi was the man for some big moments at Liverpool, coming up with goals which made him a cult hero.
Yet the reality is that Origi hasn’t hit double figures in goals since the 2016-17 season and has found the net just 22 times since then.
West Ham have just won the Europa Conference League and can maybe aim a little higher than Origi, who hasn’t made a consistent goalscoring impact in years.

That said, West Ham’s striking options are a touch worrying.
Scamacca seems primed for a return to Italy this summer amid interest from Milan and Roma.
The Italian was a huge signing last summer after dazzling for Sassuolo but couldn’t bring that form to the Premier League.
Michail Antonio continues to work his socks off in attack but he is now 33 and can’t be relied up on week in and week out.
Maybe there is scope for Divin Mubama to step up but West Ham ideally need a signing.
If it isn’t going to be Origi, then it needs to be somebody else as West Ham attempt to kick on.
