Moises Caicedo wants to leave Brighton this summer, but a deal to facilitate his departure is yet to be finalised.
According to TeamTalk, Moises Caicedo is desperate for his switch from Brighton to Chelsea to be confirmed, but fears the deal may collapse. The Ecuadorian midfielder is concerned that Brighton’s £100 million price tag for him could see Chelsea back away from negotiations.
With West Ham looking like they’ve secured a fee in excess of £100 million from Arsenal for Declan Rice, the Seagulls believe they are justified in demanding something similar for Caicedo.
Chelsea have spent vast amounts in recent transfer windows, but potentially could see this huge deal as being a step too far into financial uncertainty. Caicedo will be hoping that a compromise can be reached and that he can join up with Mauricio Pochettino’s squad at Stamford Bridge before the new season begins.

What are Caicedo’s options?
Player power is a big deal in the modern game. Plenty of players have taken extreme measures to force through moves. Caicedo himself took fairly drastic action to try and make a move to Arsenal happen in January. Although that ploy was unsuccessful, he may well feel he needs to make a similar statement this time around.
In the meantime, the 21-year-old can do little but wait and hope that Chelsea are willing to do whatever it takes to land Pochettino’s preferred target in this transfer window. He would certainly be a terrific addition for the Blues if they can get this deal over the line this summer.
