West Ham United could offer Nikola Vlasic to Torino as part of a £17 million player-plus-cash bid to bring Perr Schuurs to the Premier League.
Last week, Torino failed with a new and improved £9 million bid for Nikola Vlasic; West Ham holding out for £11 million for the Croatia international.
But, in an unexpected twist of fate, it may now be Torino who find themselves holding the cards. Because, as reported by Italian publication La Stampa, the Granata have gone from attempting to barter down Vlasic’s price-tag to being offered the former Everton benchwarmer, albeit as part of a deal that would see one of Europe’s most exciting young centre-halves move in the other direction.

West Ham, La Stampa say, are considering including Vlasic as a makeweight in a deal that would see Perr Schuurs move to the London Stadium for around £17 million.
West Ham could swap Nikola Vlasic for Perr Schuurs
With Vlasic valued at £11 million, that puts Schuurs’ valuation in the region of £29 million.
Both Crystal Palace and Liverpool have reportedly had bids rejected (Tuttosport). But Torino’s determination to bring Vlasic back after an excellent loan spell in 2022/23 should give West Ham a useful advantage over their top-flight rivals.
“His ambition is to play at the highest level of European football,” Schuurs’ agent, George Gardi, recently told Fabrizio Romano. “He’s had an amazing season so there are several clubs interested in him.
“We will discuss with Torino if it is a decision that is positive for all parties.”
Likened to Matthijs de Ligt during his time at Ajax, Gardi confirmed that the likes of Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur and even Paris Saint-Germain have expressed an interest in the recent past.

First-team football would be more attainable at West Ham, however; Kurt Zouma enduring an injury-hit 2022/23 campaign and Angelo Ogbonna recently turning 35. Ogbonna, however, did sign a new contract earlier this week.
Torino, meanwhile, have already identified Schuurs’ replacement. Rodrigo Becao is a candidate to arrive from Udinese.
