Fabrizio Romano believes Valencia are willing to sell the Liverpool, West Ham and Crystal Palace-linked Yunus Musah for just £17 million with Arsenal potentially keen to bring the midfielder back to the Premier League.
Fortunately for Valencia, the Los Che kids are alright.
One of Spanish football’s biggest clubs – and one of Europe’s greatest sleeping giants – were indebted to the contributions of their fresh-faced starlets as Valencia dodged relegation by the skin of their teeth last term.
Yunus Musah, an athletic, industrious, highly-versatile midfielder, featured in 33 of their 38 top-flight games.

And while far from the finished article, the sight of a 20-year-old Musah taking on a leadership role at the Mestalla has not gone unnoticed, 90Min reporting that Arsenal continue to keep tabs on a player who spent seven years in North London before leaving upon the expiry of his contract back in 2019.
There is also a degree of interest from Liverpool, West Ham and Crystal Palace (CBS and El Desmarque).
Valencia’s Yunus Musah may return to Arsenal
There remains an £87 million release clause in Valencia’s contract but Romano believes that – such is the financial situation facing the perennially cash-strapped side – Musah could be snapped up for a mere fraction of that fee.
“Valencia are open to selling Yunus Musah this summer after they turned down all approaches last January, including a verbal bid from Chelsea,” Romano writes on Twitter.
“I understand a 20 million euro fee could be enough to sign USMNT midfielder.”
Musah, an ‘incredibly versatile’ player, has thrived as in midfield, out wide and even as a right-back at the Mestalla. If Liverpool is to be his destination, Musah could potentially fill a Gigi Wijnaldum-style role in a Reds side looking to add an injection of youth and energy to an ageing midfield.

Musah’s agent, meanwhile, claimed in the Autumn that there was also interest from Barcelona. Though the addition of Ilkay Gundogan from Manchester City may have closed that particular door for the time being.
“Last summer, Barcelona carried out a survey,” he said. But the discussion did not develop. I see Serie A and the Premier League having an advantage for his future.”
“To leave Valencia he needs an important project. He has to go and play the Champions League and European competitions continuously.”
