Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United have been linked with Inter Milan midfielder Nicolo Barella.
According to FC Inter News, Newcastle United have made a bid to Inter Milan for Nicolo Barella.
The Premier League club have reportedly offered Inter €70 million (£60 million) in transfer fees for the Italy international midfielder.
The former Serie A and UEFA Champions League winners have rejected it.
So, according to the report, Newcastle have moved onto AC Milan and Italy international defensive midfielder Sandro Tonali and are close to securing the services of the 23-year-old.

Nicolo Barella would have been a good signing for Newcastle United
In our opinion, Inter Milan midfielder Nicolo Barella would have been a good signing for Newcastle United in the summer transfer window.
Barella is one of the best midfielders around and has his best years ahead of him.
After all, the Italian star is just 26 now.
The Italy international is hugely experienced who has won Serie A with Inter and UEFA Euro 2020 with his country.
Barella also helped Inter reach the final of the UEFA Champions League last season.
And he is rated very highly in the footballing community, including by Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp.
In February 2022, Klopp said about Barella: “Barella is not able to play. It’s not bad for us. He’s a really good player. I like him a lot. He has all the things that you want from a midfield player.
“He’s aggressive, technical and he can run for ages. All these kinds of things, so that’s a top-class player.”
