The Times have reported that Arsenal have agreed a fee with Chelsea over signing Kai Havertz in the summer transfer window.
The report has claimed that the Gunners will pay the Blues £67.5 million in transfer fees for the 24-year-old, who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a forward and was described as “an exciting, dynamic talent” by then Blues director Marina Granovskaia on the club’s official website in September 2020.
The Times have reported that “Havertz will undergo a medical this weekend”.
Exciting update for Gunners fans
In our opinion, Arsenal fans should be excited about the prospect of Kai Havertz undergoing a medical soon and then joining from Chelsea.
The Germany international is a UEFA Champions League winner with Chelsea and would make the Gunners better and more potent in attack.
Havertz is able to play in a number of positions in attack and even as a striker.
Now, of course, it is very likely that Arteta will play the German star as a number 8, but given the 24-year-old’s versatility, he could fill in other roles as well.
And he is only 24.
We have seen with players like Gabriel and Martin Odegaard that Arteta has improved them and got the best out of them.
Havertz could improve and get better at Arsenal as well.
