Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are now reportedly facing serious competition from Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool for Juventus winger Federico Chiesa.
Earlier this month, La Repubblica claimed that Arsenal are keen on signing Federico Chiesa from Juventus in the summer transfer window, and now La Gazzetta dello Sport are reporting that Liverpool could make a bid for the winger in the coming days.
La Repubblica reported earlier this month that Arsenal have made contact with Juventus to enquire about the Italy international winger, described as “really special” by Juve and Italy legend Gianluigi Buffon in La Gazzetta dello Sport in July 2021.
Fellow Italian publication La Gazzetta dello Sport have now reported that Liverpool could bid €40-45 million (£34.30-£38.60 million) for the 25-year-old Italy international winger as early as next week.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp personally wants to bring Chiesa to Anfield this summer, according to the report.
La Gazzetta dello Sport have added that Juventus would sell the winger for €60 million (£51.50 million) in the summer transfer window.

Arsenal or Liverpool for Juventus winger Federico Chiesa?
In our opinion, it would be hard for Juventus winger Federico Chiesa to choose between Arsenal and Liverpool.
Both Arsenal and Liverpool are big clubs and global brands, and both the Premier League teams are hugely ambitious.
The problem that Chiesa could find at Liverpool is that the Reds already have a strong attacking unit.
Mohamed Salah, Cody Gakpo, Diogo Jota, Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz are the main options for Klopp.
The situation is similar at Arsenal, who are reportedly about to sign Kai Havertz from Chelsea.
Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli are two brilliant young wingers, and let us not forget that Leandro Trossard is also there at Arsenal now.
