Gianluca Di Marzio is reporting on Twitter that Manchester City are in advanced talks with West Ham United over signing Declan Rice ahead of Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal.
The Italian journalist has claimed that Manchester City are now in talks with West Ham United and are determined to beat Arsenal to the signing of Declan Rice in the summer transfer window.
The Athletic had earlier claimed that treble-winners City are planning to make a bid for Rice, adding that Arsenal have been in talks with the Hammers for a while now but are unable to come to an agreement over a fee.

Worrying Declan Rice update for Arsenal fans
In our opinion, that Manchester City are in “advanced talks” with West Ham United for Declan Rice is really worrying for Arsenal.
It indicates that last season’s FA Cup, Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners are really determined to bring Rice to the Etihad Stadium in the summer transfer window.
City are a very wealthy club, and the Citizens should be able to meet West Ham’s transfer demands for Rice.
And the England international midfielder himself could be tempted to move to City.
After all, under manager Pep Guardiola, City have become the dominant force in England and are also the European champions now.
Arsenal now really have to step up their game if they are to secure the services of Rice this summer.
