Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are reportedly ready to make a move for Gabri Veiga, a player Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea and Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City are also keen on.
Italian journalist Rudy Galetti has told GiveMeSport that Liverpool are competing with Manchester City and Chelsea for the signing of Gabri Veiga from Celta de Vigo in the summer transfer window.
Real Madrid and Napoli are also keen on the 21-year-old Spanish central midfielder.
Galetti has said that Liverpool are now ready to make a move for Veiga, who has a release clause of €40 million (£34 million) in his contract at Celta.
The Italian journalist said: “The Reds are ready to make a concrete move for him to anticipate the competition that is quite fierce.
“Many top clubs like Chelsea, Man City, Real Madrid and Napoli are interested in Gabri.
“Considering his release clause is set at a fair amount of €40m [£34m], the race for Veiga will be won by the fastest club.”

Liverpool need to act fast to beat Manchester City to Gabri Veiga signing
In our opinion, if Liverpool are really determined to sign Gabri Veiga, then they have to trigger his release clause before Manchester City do.
City have just won the treble and are a hugely attractive football club now.
There is also Pep Guardiola, one of the best managers of all time.
The 21-year-old could be tempted to move to City and work under a manager who improves players.
Now, of course, Liverpool are a big club and Jurgen Klopp is a world-class manager, but they have won the Premier League title just once.
City are dominating English football, and given the way they won the UEFA Champions League last season, they are certainly a force to be reckoned with in Europe now as well.
