Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are reportedly in talks to sign Romeo Lavia from Southampton.
Fabrizio Romano has reported on Twitter that Arsenal are really keen on signing Romeo Lavia from Southampton in the summer transfer window.
The Italian journalist has claimed that Chelsea and Manchester United are also interested in Lavia, who cost Southampton an initial £10 million (The Daily Mail) when they signed him from Manchester City in the summer of 2022.
Romano has added that talks have already taken place, claiming that Arsenal have “concrete and strong interest” in the 19-year-old defensive midfielder.

It shows that the Gunners are really determined to bring the Belgium international defensive midfielder to the club in the summer transfer window.
Now, of course, we know that Arsenal are putting in bids for Declan Rice and Kai Havertz, and it seems that the Gunners are also trying to get a done for Lavia as soon as they possibly can.
Lavia made 26 starts and three substitute appearances in the Premier League for Southampton last season.
The 19-year-old Belgium international defensive midfielder scored one goal in those games.
