Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal could now be able to sign Timothy Castagne for a very modest fee, but Juventus are reportedly keen on the Leicester City full-back.

Both Arsenal and Juventus want to sign Timothy Castagne from Leicester City in the summer transfer window.

The Mirror reported in May that Arsenal are keen on snapping up the Belgium international full-back this summer.

Then earlier this month, journalist Sacha Tavolieri reported on Twitter that Arsenal are in talks with Leicester over a potential deal for Castagne.

However, it now seems that the Gunners are not the only club who want to sign the full-back, described as “fast” by former Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers in TEAMtalk in September 2020.

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has reported on Twitter that Juventus are interested in the full-back and have opened talks to sign him.

Romano has added that “Leicester City want €15m (£12.82m) fee to sell Timothy Castagne this summer”.

Arsenal should step up Timothy Castagne pursuit

In our view, if Arsenal are genuinely keen on Timothy Castagne, then they should pay the €15m (£12.82m) needed to sign the Leicester City full-back and get a deal done.

Juventus are one of the biggest clubs in the world, and the Belgium international could be tempted to join them.

And €15m (£12.82m) is certainly cheap enough for Juventus.

So, Arsenal need to step up their chase for the full-back and make a bid now.
