Leeds United have a strong interest in signing Olympiacos midfielder Pierre Kunde with his VfL Bochum loan ending.
Olympiacos midfielder Pierre Kunde could head to Leeds United this summer with a departure now expected.
That is according to Nova Sports over in Greece, who report that Kunde will not be staying at Olympiacos.
The Cameroon international is heading back to Greece having come to the end of his loan spell with VfL Bochum.
Olympiacos don’t want to keep Kunde though and it doesn’t look like Bochum plan to sign him permanently.
It’s stated that everything now points to Kunde making a move to England with Leeds United his most likely destination.
The report claims that Leeds have a ‘strong interest’ in Kunde and could bring him to Elland Road.
We would question just who on earth would be making that decision right now.
Leeds don’t have a manager in place right now as the search for Sam Allardyce’s replacement is on.
Leeds are also looking for a new director of football after parting ways with Victor Orta, so a move for Kunde right now would be a huge surprise.
In fact, we think the Greek media may be running away with this one.
Kunde was suggested as a possible Leeds target by Leeds Live just a few days ago.
Either this is an incredible coincidence or the Greek media are getting a touch carried away with the idea of Kunde to Leeds.
We can’t really see this one happening at the moment, but maybe Kunde is one to keep tabs on.

Who is rumoured Leeds United target Pierre Kunde?
Kunde was born in Cameroon but actually started his career with Spanish side Alcobendas.
After impressing as a box-to-box midfielder, Kunde was snapped up by Atletico Madrid for their B team.
Kunde never made a first-team debut for Atletico but did rack up 11 goals in 35 games on loan at Extremadura.
Kunde continued to show goalscoring ability with five goals in 37 games on loan at Granada.
Mainz pounced to snap Kunde up from Atletico in 2018 and made him an important first-team player with 70 appearances for the Bundesliga side.

Olympiacos was Kunde’s next step in 2021, but he was loaned out to Bochum in January of this year having been in and out of the team in Greece.
Kunde has backed 34 caps for Cameroon and featured for his country at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Kunde has ability as a box-to-box player and it would be nice to see his goalscoring ability return in his next move.
Maybe that will be Leeds United, who will need midfielders with Tyler Adams and Marc Roca expected to go and Weston McKennie already gone.
