Arsenal continue to chase Galatasaray defender Sacha Boey and strong relations may help push through a deal this summer.
Arsenal’s decision to sell Lucas Torreira to Galatasaray could now help them land Sacha Boey from the Turkish giants.
That is according to Turkish newspaper Hurriyet, who claim that Arsenal are pushing to sign right back Boey.
It’s stated that Boey wants a move to the Premier League and there is a ‘high probability’ of a deal now being done.
Arsenal have allegedly put €14million (£12million) on the table for Boey but Galatasaray are holding out for €20million (£17million).
That’s a little lower than previously reported figures but Arsenal allegedly have a great relationship with Galatasaray.
The report claims that Arsenal allowing midfielder Lucas Torreira to leave the club has given the Gunners a strong connection with the Turkish side.
That means Arsenal seem to be at the head of the queue for Boey – but whether that means they can drive the price down remains to be seen.

Arsenal need a new right back amid Sacha Boey chase
Arsenal decided to shift Ben White over to right back this season, switching him from centre back.
White did well in that role but he needs more support going forward.
Takehiro Tomiyasu’s injury problems have become a real issue and Cedric Soares surely won’t be considered as first-team competition.
A natural right back is needed and Body fits the bill.
The Frenchman left Rennes to join Galatasaray in 2021 and has excelled over in Turkey.
Hailed as ‘amazing’ by former Arsenal right back Bacary Sagna, Boey now seems ready to make the next move in his career.
Boey still has bags of potential at 22 and Arsenal seem to be his most likely destination with talks ongoing to land new competition for White.
