Dharmesh Sheth has shared that Arsenal and William Saliba are heading in the right direction regarding extending his contract at the club.
The Sky reporter added that talks between all parties are ‘progressing positively’ and everyone is keen for a deal to ‘get over the line’, as he told Sky Sports.
William Saliba has one-year left on his Arsenal contract after the 2019 signing made his senior debut for the club away at Crystal Palace at the start of the 2022/23 Premier League season.

It has been a long time coming for the 22-year-old, but that wait for first-team action was worth it because he has developed so much during his loan spells at the likes of Marseille.
The issue for Arsenal is that he has probably sky-rocketed into becoming their most important player in less than 12 months and certainly his side’s best defender.
That’s why Arsenal fans have expressed worry when there were suggestions that contract talks were stalling, but according to transfer expert Sheth, it’s now heading down the right road.
“Potentially good news, it concerns a contract for one of their keys players, their defender William Saliba,” said Sheth.
“I am told that talks over a new contract for Saliba are progressing positively. He has got one-year left on his contract, after Arsenal activated the one-year option until 2024.
“But it is thought that there is a willingness from all parties to get this deal over the line, so potentially good news in regards to William Saliba because I know a lot of Arsenal fans were a bit worried about the progress of these contract talks.”

Saliba is Arsenal’s future
Gabriel Martinelli, Bukayo Saka and Saliba. These three are the future of the club and Arsenal fans are hopeful that they will rep their colours in years to come.
Two have already penned down their futures and it will please the supporters even further if Saliba follows suit.
For a player that only made his senior debut this season, he has made a remarkable impact on a team that is edging closer and closer to ending their long-wait to become champions of England.
