Sony recently treated us to an extensive look at Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, and they also revealed that the release date window for when it is coming out is fall 2023.
Yesterday’s PlayStation Showcase 2023 event was an hour-long spectacle. There were surprises like Dragon’s Dogma 2 and Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake, and there were also just fantastic trailers for games such as Final Fantasy 16.
While almost everything looked amazing, the most in-depth was definitely Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. Not only did we get a very thorough look at gameplay, but we also got a release date window.
When is Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 coming out?
The release date window for when Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is coming out is fall 2023.
This means the game should come out anywhere between September 23rd and December 23rd. No specific launch day has been announced, but it will come before the end of the year provided there are no delays.
Although a launch window has now been announced, it is still not possible to pre-order. All you can do on the PSN store right now is wishlist.
Insominacgames has shared on Twitter that a launch day and pre-order details will be announced soon. There will probably be editions with exclusive suits similar to the first game, but nothing has been revealed as of writing.
What we do know is that it is again a PlayStation exclusive, but it will only be on PS5. This means PS4 will not be able to play unlike the first game and Miles Morales.
In Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, you will suit up as both Peter Parker and Miles Morales. Peter Parker has somehow gotten on his hands on the iconic symbiote suit and this gives him a ton of new abilities as well as an emo edge.
