Arsenal have made a first proposal for Galatasaray defender Sacha Boey but are now considering increasing their offer.

Galatasaray are standing firm on their valuation of right back Sacha Boey after holding talks with Arsenal.

That is according to Turkish outlet Sporx, who claim that Galatasaray vice-president Erden Timur has visited London to discuss selling Boey to Arsenal.

Gunners officials offered around €17million (£15million) for Boey but Galatasaray aren’t budging.

The Turkish giants want around €25million (£22million) for Boey, leaving the ball in Arsenal’s court.

It’s stated that Arsenal have already told Galatasaray that they will come up with a new offer within days.

This comes after Fabrizio Romano reported late on Tuesday night that Galatasaray officials were heading to the UK.

Arsenal seemed to be a very strong shout to be a mystery club targeting Boey, as we noted on Wednesday.

Akşam stated last week that Arsenal had made contact with Galatasaray for Boey and it looks like this move is accelerating.

What would Arsenal be signing in Sacha Boey?

Arsenal may well be in the market for a new right back this summer.

Ben White has played there this season but a more attack-minded option may be ideal competition.

Boey fits the bill having bagged four assists and a goal in 29 games for Galatasaray this season.

The 22-year-old is quick and very comfortable on the ball, but he has shown himself to be strong in 1v1 duels too.

Boey has been outstanding in Turkey, even being branded ‘amazing’ by former Arsenal right back Bacary Sagna.

It’s a big step up to the Premier League but Boey has shown the talent and the potential to become a quality player for Arsenal.

The Gunners are around £7million away from securing an agreement with Galatasaray for Boey, if those reports are to be believed, but Edu and co must decide if they want to go that high for the Frenchman.
