Gabby Agbonlahor says Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola would do ‘better’ with this crop of Tottenham Hotspur players.
But the former Premier League striker thinks even Pep Guardiola, who has won five titles at Manchester City, would still have ‘frustrations’ at how the club is being run if he was in the hot seat, as he told talkSPORT Breakfast (25/05/23 at 8:50 am).
Tottenham have had two trophy-laden coaches in their dugout during the past few years – Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte.

They have won everywhere they have been, including Mourinho helping Roma to the Europa Conference League last season and now they are 90 minutes away from the Europa League.
But when they enter the Spurs bubble, it’s all very different and no one can seem to end the club’s trophy drought.
What if one of the best-ever coaches was in the Spurs’ dugout? Well, Agbonlahor shared that he might even have his issues.
“I think he would do better, of course, with that team,” said Agbonlahor. ‘But still, he would have them frustrations.
“He wants these promises. He wants the sporting director and the right money to spend on players. It’s just becoming a laughing stock now.
“Spurs must be jealous looking at Brighton, Brentford and Villa, all these teams that are run properly. The manager, owners and the fans are all in line.”

ARNE SLOT WON’T BE TOTTENHAM MANAGER
Well, that was the news coming out on Thursday morning, to the annoyance of the Spurs fans.
From Julian Nagelsmann to Slot, that’s another potentially progressive manager they can tick off their manager wishlist.
As the day’s tick by, the longer Spurs go without a sporting director and a manager, the deeper the mess the club finds itself in.
