Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are keen on signing Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount, but it seems that he could head to Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool instead.
Liverpool favourites to sign Arsenal target Mason Mount from Chelsea
The Mirror have reported that Liverpool are favourites to sign Chelsea and England international midfielder Mount in the summer transfer window for £50 million.
The report has added that a potential transfer depends on whether or not incoming manager Mauricio Pochettino is willing to let the 24-year-old midfielder leave.
This will come as a blow for Arsenal, who, like Liverpool, are also keen securing the services of Mount, described as “tenacious” by former Chelsea player Tony Cascarino in The Times in March 2023.

The Athletic reported in April that Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United and Bayern Munich all are interested in signing Mount from Chelsea in the summer transfer window.
Goal have reported that Arsenal have opened talks about a potential move for the Englishman.
Exciting
In our view, Mason Mount would be a very good and exciting signing for Liverpool or Arsenal.
Mount is 24 now and has his best years ahead of him.
The Englishman is a very dynamic player who can drive the team forward as well as impose himself in the middle of the park.
While Arsenal do have quality midfielders already, someone like Mount would make them better.
As for Liverpool, manager Jurgen Klopp is in desperate need of young and dynamic midfielders like Mount.
