Journalist Toby Cudworth has given an insight into how likely it is for Declan Rice, who has been linked with a transfer to Arsenal to stay at West Ham United.
It was reported on Thursday that the England international will inevitably join Mikel Arteta’s side in the summer.
However, a percentage has been attached to how likely it for Declan Rice to stay put at West Ham United instead of agreeing to a transfer to Arsenal.
How likely is the Declan Rice to Arsenal transfer
The Gunners would perhaps even be keener than before to bring Rice through the door, as it looks like they are set to finish second best in the Premier League title race.
In order to compete with Pep Guardiola’s juggernaut, checking off all their transfer priorities, including in midfield would be on the top of their agenda.
Now, journalist Toby Cudworth has revealed how likely it is for Declan Rice to stay at West Ham instead of moving to Arsenal in a summer transfer.

“I think he could be priced out of an Arsenal move, but when Chelsea are tracking you are you ever priced out of a move?”, 90 Min journalist Graeme Bailey initially said on the Talking Transfers podcast.
Cudworth then gave an insight into how realistic a transfer involving Rice to Arsenal is, saying, “Well, I would have said the chances of Rice staying at West Ham this summer were zero, but now I think it could be a 20 per cent chance because it’s a lot of money even for a team like Chelsea.”
“Do Chelsea really need to sign Rice above all of their other targets? Surely the answer to that is no.”
HITC View: Good & bad news for Arsenal
The good news for Arsenal is that it still looks extremely likely that Declan Rice is set to accept a transfer to the Emirates Stadium.
The bad news is that Edu Gaspar may be forced to sanction a British record move to sign him.
Considering Arsenal have the desire to strengthen other areas of the pitch, this is a bit of a blow.
Whether the potential fee demands may force the club to pull out of the race is rightly the mystery about a potential mega-transfer waiting to happen.
